As opposed to the traditional gallery of images placed on the walls and podiums in the center of the room, the gallery was designed as an inhabitable exhibition that housed both images and models in one volume. A simple box module was developed to form a pixelated volume that sped construction time. Starting with the gallery as a solid, voids were cut out to form stalactites or nodes of organization. The size of the stalactites depended on the amount of work for each category. Images were comprised of multiple sections based on the box module. They were placed on different levels of depth, creating a forced perspective. As people moved through the space the image pieces would align at certain angles to form a whole image.
